Dr. Prasanta Kumar Chanda is an experienced heart disease and cardiac surgery specialist. He previously served as Senior Consultant and Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute. He currently works as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Square Hospital. He has around 20 years of experience in cardiac surgery and is skilled in performing different complex and modern heart operations. His notable surgical procedures include:

Dr. Prasanta Kumar Chanda earned his MBBS degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College. He later earned a master's degree in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD). Before joining the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute, he provided medical care at different government and private institutions. In 2006, he joined the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute as Assistant Professor and Consultant, Cardiac Surgery. In August 2010, he was promoted to Associate Professor and Senior Consultant, Cardiac Surgery.
